Logistics for Rental Car in Spain

Our spain trip puts us in Madrid for a couple of days...then we take a train to Cordoba/Seville. On leaving Seville, I would like to get a rental car to drive to Granada, stopping in Ronda en route (not staying in Ronda).

In Seville, we are staying here:

Apartamentos Tempa Museo
San Vicente, 4, Old Town, 41002 Seville, Spain

What would be the easiest way to go about getting a rental car...easiest both to pick up from our hotel and easiest to drive out of the city.

Have a look at AutoEurope. There are only certain places to pick up and drop off a car - airports, train stations, etc. You'll probably have to take a cab from your apt. to the pick up point. A map will be provided showing how to get out of the city. Not to worry.

We're going the opposite way. We rented through Auto Europe (although it's a Hertz rental we are getting) and will travel from Granada through Ronda and stay in Zahara De La Sierra. Then we will drop the car the following day in Seville.

Check this out…it was actually cheaper to get a three-day rental than a two-day rental (although neither was cheap). Hope we don't crash into each other over there. Have fun.

The airport is the easiest pickup point, but you end up paying the airport fee. The next best location would be Santa Justa Station. Take Av. de la Paz to pick up the A-376 to Ronda.

FYI - I'm picking up at Granada Hertz downtown office and dropping at Santa Justa Station in Sevilla.

Are you planning on picking up the car in Seville and dropping it in Granada? If so, be wary that many rental companies will require a minimum of a 3-day rental rate in order to allow the one way. BUT, as maitaitom mentioned, 3 day rates are often cheaper than 1 or 2 day rates!
