I'm looking for a recommendation of someplace to stay (farm, guesthouse, whatever) for a couple of nights in early October in the Myvatn area.
Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance!

Try the Stöng Farm Guesthouse, a couple of miles off the Ring Road at the south-west corner of the lake. It's a working farm set up in isolated country. We enjoyed it.
Look in the site of the Icelandic Farmstays: http://www.farmholidays.is/
You will find some possibilities there. All the farms we stayed on were more than OK.
Thanks for the replies... decided to stay at Vogar Farm. I'll let you know how it works out. They seem extremely nice.
We've got 7 stops during out two week trip... 2 hotels, 2 guesthouses, 3 farms... the general variety pack of lodging.
Two weeks before we depart! Yeeeha!
