We will be leaving early on September 17th for our return flight to the U.S. and need an overnight hotel at or very near airport in Copenhagen. Any suggestions for a nice inexpensive place to lay our heads.

It was a few years ago but I stayed at Days Inn, it was maybe 5-10 minute cab ride to the airport. It was nice enough and relatively cheap.
There is the Hilton right at the airport.
You can ask them for a good rate and if they are not booked, you might be surprised at how cheap you will get the room.
There will be no taxi fare , as it is connected to the airport.
As I write this I am sitting in the Quality Airport Hotel Dan about 5 minutes from Copenhagen airport. We have a rental car to return in the morning for our flight but there is a shuttle to the airport also.
