In reading a post by the Man in Seat 61, he said that Loco2 is a good website (loco describes many of our trips). Looks like our Seville to Cordoba train is available although it will be nearly 120 days until we take it. A couple of questions on this one.

Is 26€ a good price for a ticket.
Is Cordoba Central the correct station to arrive (seems logical)

I'm sure I will have a few more questions along the way, as we will also be training from Cordoba to Toledo and Toledo to Madrid.

Yes great price - note you can always buy the fairly flat-fare slower regional trains between those two cities once there - ditto for Toledo and Madrid.

The Euro has dropped much more and that is no doubt translated into the pound pricing - Euro down over 20% - makes things bought in euros much cheaper than before, of course.

Ok, Sevilla to Cordoba ticket purchase has been completed.

My next trip will be Cordoba to Toledo. I know that we have to change trains in Madrid. What is a reasonable time period between the time we arrive in Madrid until the time we leave for Toledo? Not knowing the Madrid train station, I don't know how long it takes to walk to the next train. Thanks.

That company is a British online travel agency, so of course the charge is in pounds. I imagine there is some markup, otherwise how could they be in business. If it's one of those internet startups that have no business plan other than money from ads, they often don't last, unfortunately. The Man in Seat 61 is prominently mentioned on their website as a "partner", also, so his opinion is probably not unbiased, he may be getting paid by them. Still, if it works and you get the ticket at the right price, that's all that count.s

Atocha Station where you change to go back on the same tracks towards Toledo is very manageable IME - there are two Atochas - the Cercianas (sp?) or suburban trains station down below, if I recall correctly, and the main line station up above - I assume the Toledo train will leave from the same part of the station you arrive it since they are both high-speed trains. I'd put 40 minutes between trains in like www.bahn.de/en schedules do.

I'm glad you posted this - we're also going in May and I see that many of the trains are available already. I was surprised since I didn't them to open up till it was 90 days out, but the AVE trains are available!

Like you, we're going from Toledo to Seville. I see a great rate for the Madrid to Seville train at noon, but the Toledo to Madrid trains are not available yet since they're Avant trains (regional, I assume). Should I wait till the Avant tickets (Toledo-Madrid) are available to get the Madrid-Seville tickets or just buy the tickets now and assume l'll be able to get the Avant tickets as soon as they open up?

Never mind the above. Bought several sets of tickets this morning, including the Madrid to Sevilla tickets. Will wait until the AVANT tickets open up later.

I bought my tickets through Petrabax.com, although it's essentially the same price and availability as Loco2. I just like that it's in USD instead of pounds, so I know what I'm paying. The Loco2 has a 2% fee for credit cards and then there's a conversion fee, so it seems the rates end up being pretty much the same thing.

The tickets I got were Madrid-Seville, Seville-Cordoba, and Malaga-Madrid. These are all AVE tickets. The AVANT tickets (regional trains) seem to open up much closer to the travel date. I'll need to buy a Toledo-Madrid ticket when it becomes available to make sure I catch the Madrid-Seville train I have at noon. It's a little antsy-making not to have it all together, but it doesn't seem like it should be a problem.

Are you taking a train that goes from Cordoba to Toledo, or will you take the AVE from Cordoba to Madrid, and change for a train to Toledo? I'm guessing you'll probably be doing the latter, so you might want to buy the Cordoba-Madrid tickets now, and wait till the other ones open up.

I know I read somewhere that there might be an AVE train that goes between Cordoba-Toledo, but it was not at all a certainty. I just decided to play it safe and get the long haul ticket now and hope that it's no big deal to get the regional train closer to the date.
