Hi there.
I'm wondering if most fans at Liverpool FC matches at Anfield and Everton FC matches at Goodison Park are people from Merseyside, or are there a lot of fans who are not from Merseyside. I ask because I don't want to be one of the very few people who are not from Merseyside when I go to a Liverpool FC match at Anfield and an Everton FC match at Goodison Park.
Thanks.

Hello,
I've been to Anfield many times and have lived in Liverpool. There are obviously a lot of people from Liverpool at the matches but also a lot of Irish, Welsh, southern English and Scandinavians (particularly at Anfield). You will not be out of place and anyway, the people of Liverpool are the friendlest and most welcoming people in the UK.
Good to know they're on their best behaviour at home. Somewhere I still have a newspaper placard from a visit to Munich in the 70s - "Liverpool Fans: Blutige Schlacht im Hofbräuhaus".
