Hi everybody! I'll be in Limassol for business with a few colleagues in mid november for 5 days. We'll probably have the evenings free, and one free day. Can you please recommend things to do? I know the beach won't be an option at that time of the year but will the pubs and cafes still be busy? What are the best ones? Any ideas for day trips for our free day? I really appreciate all your help!

The temperature in November can be very pleasant in Cyprus. Some restaurants may be closed for the main tourist season but there are always some open all year round especially in main towns like Limassol. There is a Lebanese restaurant near Le Meridien which serves excellent mezze. If you like the mountains you can go to Platres/Troodos for a day trip, see a traditional village eg Lofou which is a listed UNESCO site or Paphos to see the mosaics and Tomb of the Kings and you can see Petra dou Romiou on the way. Ktima is the old part of Paphos and if you go into the old Turkish quarter there are some very authentic Cypriot restaurants (type with no menu and great local dishes-cheap & washed down with Keo beer). Visit Curium amphitheatre on the outskirts of Limassol.
