Levanto Overnight Parking?

Hi,
I am traveling to Italy in May and will be spending one night in Vernazza. We will have a rental car and be driving from Tuscany to Cinque Terre for the night. I know that we will need to take a train into Vernazza, but does anyone have suggestions of where we can park our car overnight? I have read that Levanto is the best spot- where in Levanto? Worried that we are going to arrive and there will be no where to park.
Thanks for your help!

Kia Ora from NZ. I have stayed in Levanto and there is a good sized car park at the train station. If you are going to overnight in Vernazza I am sure you would be able to leave it there. Other than that there is parking on the streets. However I would take all care to make sure valuables are not left in the car as rental cars are recognisable. Enjoy the Cinque Terre - it is beautiful but so is the beach at Levanto.

The big lot is in Monterosso---right on the water. That is closer than Levanto and more ferry options. The rail station is about 5 minutes form that lot.

italygirl -- how did parking work out for you? We are going to do the same thing this summer.

Thanks!

People who are traveling in weekends or in the summer need to realize that the parking lots may be full when you arrive throughout le Cinque Terre.

If you cannot get rid of your car before arriving in le Cinque Terre, book a hotel that will reserve guaranteed parking for you. If you need an apartment, look in Moneglia or Bonassola.
