leaving for london day after tomorrow!!

after a year of planning and preparation, in 2 days we leave for our first trip to london.

i've got my clothes sorted out, meds/toiletries, etc, copies of my passport & ID (one to leave here, one to take), an extra memory card for the camera, battery charger & spare batteries, cell phone & charger (phone "unlocked" for UK use), a tiny transformer/converter, a tentative itinerary for our time in london, 3 pages of instructions for my daughter who's cat/dog/house-sitting, i've notified my bank we're going so they don't put a hold on my card when they see all the overseas transactions...and i STILL feel certain i'm forgetting something!

anyone see any gaping holes in my preparations? i just can't get over the feeling that i'm forgetting something important!

pre-trip jitters. that's all it is, right?

Sounds like you have done a good job! You might think about taking 2 ATM cards just in case the machine doesn't spit one back out. That's never happened to us, but I've read cases where it has.

We'll be in London ONE month from today! I'll look forward to your trip report just as soon as you get back. By the way, where are you staying?

Once you get to the airport, you will just relax and begin enjoying your trip! Have a wonderful time.

Including Brahama's suggestion it all sounds pretty good to me! I'm so jealous Our small transformer did work for our video camera but not for my flat iron, that was a bummer, bigger and better next time

Well, as I always remind myself when I'm going abroad.
They do have shops in (in your case) London ;-)

Have a good time.

thanks everyone for your responses.

carol, we're staying near victoria station, convenient for a number of reasons, not the least of which is that we're flying into gatwick, and can take the express to get to/fro.

we have 2 ATM cards, although i'm wishing now that i'd taken the time to open a second account & put 1/2 our money into it. seems i read on here somewhere that that's a good idea, but it's too late to worry about that now!
