Le Gouffre de Proumeyssac - Going down in a bucket?

Jump to last reply

Sorry to be a PITA with all these Dordogne questions, but now that I have our ten-hour drive figured out to Rocamadour, etc., I am focusing on the other stuff. Got our Font-de-Gaume and Gouffre de Padirac reservations, so I thought we'd try Le Gouffre de Proumeyssac as our other cave experience. I see they have some sort of bucket thing that can transport you down into the cave or plummet us to our death (either outcome should make for a good story on the board, although I will be unable to do the report should the latter occur).

In any case, has anyone done that and, if so, what was your experience? Thanks.
