We are honeymooning on mykonos and santorini in late september. What will the weather be like? Any suggestions for hotels? (willing to spend $100-$200/night). Things to see on each of the islands? Thanks!

Connie, It will be perfect. We were <BR>there at the same time 2 years ago. <BR>Search and find Esperas Traditional Houses at Oia---fabulous for honeymoon <BR>and reasonable.

We stayed at the petassos beach hotel in mykonos-steps to beach and fun scooter ride to town or bus stops right in front of hotel to town, great staff too. Santorini-Tzekos Villas one of the nicest caldera views, and it sits on the cliff.

oh another thing check the weather out when we tried to go in early october a travel agent told us it would be too off-season.

In relation to the weather, we were in Santorini late last September - the weather was glorious - not too hot, a bit of a breeze but still in the high 20's. Because it is off season the place is practically deserted - no queues and no problems finding nice and cheap places to stay & eat. I'm going back again this June and I expect to find a completely different island!

I went to Greece on my honeymon two years ago and stayed atthe Club Kivotos on Mykonos - it was the best hotel I've ever stayed in. Great service, beautiful grounds - perfect for a honeymoon. Make sure you make reservations at El Greco's one night for dinner. A day trip to Delos is also a must - the ferry leaves from a beach right near the club kivotos to get you to the island. Also keep your eyes open for petros the pelican! He walks around the town with the people. Great sunset and photo opportunity near the windmills. We stayed 3 days on Mykonos and 2 on Santorini and it was perfect. In Santorini go early to the end of the island - Oia - to get prime spot on the edge of the old castle to watch the prettiest sunset of your life!! You could pack a picnic dinner and watch the sun go down. Also must go to the ancient village. The name escapes me, but it is an entire village that was preserved by volcanic ash. We did a 1/2 day tour of this village, the black beach and a vinyard. Well worth the time for a little escorted tour. The only thing is that inside this vilage it is EXTREMELY HOT anytime of the year so bring water and wear cool clothes!! Have a great time!!
