Lake District B&B Lodging

We're looking for B&B recommendations in the Lake District. Not looking for a hotel with breakfast, but a true B&B. Our budget is 70 pounds a night and we don't have to be in the middle of a town, although if the place is the right one we'll stay just about anywhere. We will have a car and arriving in late September. I've done the usual Internet searches but I'm looking for personal knowledge.

Try the Link House. http://www.link-house.co.uk/

I've stayed there and loved the place. If you have a car, the take the trip over hard knot and wye knot.

There's a very interesting stone cirlce nearby.

I can vouch for this place - it's gorgeous.

We were greeted with tea and home made cakes, the room was beautiful, and the breakfast fantastic.
You can walk from the farm down to the Lake side and St Bega's church. However, it's a rural location so not for anyone looking for the bright lights.
Here are some reviews of it.
