Kremlin Palace tour

Jump to last reply

Four friends and I will be in Moscow in late October/early November and are very interested in a Kremlin Palace tour (we have been reading biographies of Peter the Great and Catherine the Great). I'd especially like to see the Red Staircase and the Terem.

I know the Patriarshy Dom organization offers occasional palace tours, but not for the dates when we will be in town, except for private groups of minimum 18 people. I also understand that there are requirements-- pre-registration, passport vetting, etc., which would take some time.

Our plan at the moment is to go to the Kremlin and find one of the licensed guides who are said to be waiting there, but that won't get us into the Palace, right? Does anyone know of any other organization or company we could try?

Thanks to those who have suggested Moscow guides in the past; unfortunately, none of them worked out for our trip.
