Kitchen accomodations in Bernese Oberland

Jump to last reply

My wife and I will be staying in the BO in June for 4 days and am looking to find accomodations with a kitchenette in the room. We have special dietary needs and will be bringing food with us from Zurich (by car).

Ideally, we would like to stay in Murren, but am afraid it will be too difficult to carry around our luggage and extra food stuff via train and cable-car. Alternatively, we would be looking to stay in Grindelwald or Lauterbrunnen which has accomodations with direct car access.

1. In your opinion, is accessing Murren too difficult with a lot of luggage in tow, or not that bad?

2. We will need accomodations that provide a kitchenette for us to prepare/heat our food. Do you have any experience or recommendations? (room for a couple)

3. Based on available accomodations and access to the area, would you recommend staying in Grindelwald or Lauterbrunnen? - we want to use our days exploring the region.

Thank you very much!
