Has anyone been to a show at the King's Head Theatre on Upper Street, London? Comments, please! And how's the food?
Thanks very much.

There's no permanent team there: shows vary hugely, from stuff that moves on to the West End or the big subsidised theatres to stuff that, in retrospect, everyone admits should never have made it that far. But I've never seen anything there I wasn't glad I made the journey for - though, for most of my adult life, that journey's rarely been more than 300 yards. But it would usually have been worth a couple of miles. These days, though, the Almeida offers more consistently box office things.
Food is awful. But practically all the food along Upper Street is. Eating at the KH is convenient, but I've always regretted it
The pub OTOH has been unfailingly good - though ear plugs sometimes help - for at least the past 30-odd years
flanneruk: sorry to be stupid, but what is OTOH? We're past 30 AND a bit odd. But we do like new experiences.
