Kinda last minute Rome questions...

Jump to last reply

Hotel is booked. First day will be walking around: Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Area Sacra, etc.. We have two separate 1/2 day tours scheduled: Forum and Vatican. We have more two days. My brain is going into frizzle mode from reading guidebooks. I think I want to see the Capitoline Museums. My main interest is republic Rome through early middle ages. I go bonkers when the paintings start including chubby cherub/putti. Will the Capitoline Museums be a good fit? And will we be able to walk up and buy tickets in May? I don't want to have things over planned, but now I'm second guessing myself. Is there another place I should be considering?
