Hi Kimhe,
I thought I would try sending you a note to see if you can help me find some info. I was on the website for Rocio Molina looking for her latest schedule in 2013 and couldn't find it updated. I went to 'contacts' on the website and emailed them and someone replied and said the schedule was in Spanish but not in English but they would fix it right away and update. Anyway, I don't see any schedule in Spanish or English for 2013. Can you suggest a link to find out that information? I have a birthday coming up in the Spring and had a wild hair to try to see if any of her performances coincide with my day. Perhaps that will narrow down where or where I should travel for my birthday too.
Thanks so much!

Hi Cheapbox,
It's fairly updated on her new website (through March 2013): http://www.rociomolina.net/agenda/?lang=en
But I know she's scheduled for more performaces than what's published on the website so far, for example in the quite spectacular Halle aux Grains in Toulouse on April 15. Perhaps the best idea is to check the facebook-site every now and then. Here upcoming events are announced some time in advance. I surely hope you'll find a performance close to your birthday, she's well worth travelling far for! http://www.facebook.com/pages/Roc%C3%ADo-Molina-Oficial/194220900668621
Here's a promo for her latest performance "Afectos". I saw the premiere in Barcelona in October, and it was immensely strong. She dances this in the Jerez festival in February and surely in several other venues throughout the year. Will stir things up and be a highlight of the flamenco year. You never know where Rocío Molina goes next, but this time she and Tremendita are more naked, pure and daring than ever. http://www.facebook.com/pages/Roc%C3%ADo-Molina-Oficial/194220900668621#!/photo.php?v=10200228363658810&set=vb.1444070788&type=2&theater
Here's her fabulous 2011 creation "Vinática" in full. Can't of course come close to seeing her live, but it gives an idea. Several highlights throughout the performance, but I was perhaps most taken by the Chopin wrapping, especially the end: perhaps the most beautiful I've seen in any theater ever.

And a little extra...

Good luck!
I mentioned Halle aux Grains in Toulouse on April 15th:

I also would be surprised is she's not performing during the Ciutat Flamenco festival in Mercat de les Flors in Barcelona May 23-26 (Where Afectos premiered last October). She's one of this prestigious dance theater's closest associates, and the festival deals with the legacy of legendary bailaora Carmen Amaya and is "committed to the most contemporary, transcultural and universal vision of national and international flamenco". She has previously performed in this festival with tremendous success. http://mercatflors.cat/en/ciclesifestivals/ciutat-flamenco-flamenco-city-2013/
On June 13th, Molina and Tremendita (not to forget the brilliant contrabass player Pablo Martín) performs "Afectos" in Gran Teatro de Falla in Cádiz: http://www.guiadelocio.com/cadiz/teatro-y-danza/rocio-molina-y-la-tremendita.-afectos-en-gran-teatro-falla
On June 28 and 29 she's performing "Danzaora" in Paris during the FESTIVAL BIENNALE D’ART FLAMENCO in PARIS THEATRE NATIONAL DE CHAILLOT: http://www.viennaticketoffice.com/festival-biennale-d-art-flamenco-rocio-molina-danzaora-tickets-148357l1348428-en.html
Kimhe- I'm not sure HOW I missed that info on the site as it was all right there but I thank you bunches! You are awesome with your replies and information you shared! Her dates don't exactly coincide to my birthday weekend but I will see if I can make something work for somewhere. It would be sooo worth it!
Thanks again,
Cheapbox
Just glad to help, and I'm sure she'll have more performances in April and May. I post it here when I know more.
Here's more in April/May:
April 9: Moscow
April 15: Toulouse
April 26: Leioa
April 27: Avilés:
AND
May 4: In San Sebastián, my favourite city on the planet.
http://www.rociomolina.net/agenda/
In all these places she will perform "Danzaora". Promo for Danzaora from Sadler's Wells, one of the finest dance stages in Europe: http://www.sadlerswells.com/show/Rocio-Molina-Danzaora#
OOOOHhhhh! If it were just me with no kids and a husband to worry about I would certainly do one of those trips. I need to juggle sports, music, exam and husband travel schedules. I've heard good things about San Sebastian too!
Anything the week/end of May 8th??
Keep 'em coming Kimhe, I'm following this!
If San Sebastián is impossible, let's hope there will be another performance in week 19.
BUT
I can't think of any better excuse than Rocío Molina to visit perhaps the most beautiful of all Spanish cities, the food capital of Spain and European Capital of Culture 2016: http://travel.nytimes.com/2011/08/07/travel/36-hours-in-san-sebastin-spain.html?_r=0

Great time of year to go, spring is here in full and a couple of months before the predominantly Spanish and French summer visitors crowd the place.
She performs in Barcelona on May 23rd, and in Madrid on May 30, 31 and June 1. Also in Cádiz on June 13, in Paris June 28, 29 and in Milano on July 2nd.: http://www.rociomolina.net/agenda/
