Kent - on the fly

Jump to last reply

Tomorrow, after a month long stay in Plymouth I will be leaving for the New Forest. The B&B there may not have a good internet connection (for researching). I apologize for not doing my research beforehand, but on this trip I’m ‘following my nose’ and it’s leading me to Kent. I would like to see rural Kent but also be close to amenities as I will not have a car. A friend suggests a short trip to Bruges from there. Easy or not? I would like to see some gardens and rural Kent; also want to get over to Rye for a couple of days. I will have about 10 days in the southeast. Where would be a good base in Kent? Any opinions appreciated.
