Keen vs. Merrell Shoes???

Does anyone have any opinion on either of these shoes? Since I have to order a pair of comfortable walking shoes online, I'm trying to save time and money by only ordering one pair. I've heard good things about both, but I prefer the style of Keen shoes. Any suggestions???

Neither fit me well. Keen tend to be too wide and Merrell just don't fit. If at all possible try on before you buy.....

I do love Born and Ecco walking shoes (these fit me well)

I think it depends on your own foot. I loved that my Keens are wide, but mine didn't have enough arch support and caused me lots of problems on my trip. They are pretty though - I still wear them around town. Maybe with those arch inserts...

Cheers,

Murphy

If you're a woman, read on. I wear a size 11B. I too needed good walking shoes for my trip to London. I'm leaving this Sunday! Woo Hoo! I went through about a half dozen pairs already. Thank goodness for free shipping. Here's the breakdown of the Merrell's I tried:

Meta Stretch - true to size, very comfy, casual looking, but cute style. I got them in black.
Caper - true to size, great traction, fun looking shoe to wear with shorts or capris. I love the desert sage color. They're keepers
Samba - Very cute shoe, but way too narrow....they gone!
Spire Emme - very cute shoe, great for skirts and dressy slacks. I liked the brown, but they run way too big. The 10.5 is still too big and I'm sure the 10 will be too small. Sorry to say I had to sent them back.

I also tried a pair of Ecco shoes in the style called Active Tie. Very cute shoe but boy was it small. Felt more like a 10 or even a 9 1/2.

I was still searching for a nice pair to wear with skirts or dresses and I don't want to take sandals for fear it may be too chilly and rainy while there. Last night while working, I ran across a pair of Ecco shoes called Casual Strap. It's a Mary Jane. Very comfy and true to size, but a bit clunky.

I also tried a couple of Danskos - Roxy and Rose. I bought the Rose because it's more dressy than the Roxy or the Ecco. I paid a bit more, but I'll be wearing them a lot.

Hope this helps.

Thanks everyone! I really liked the design of Keen's, but everyone has said they are wide. I have narrow feet with barely any arch. I am going to search for more Merrell's and possibly Echo walking shoes. I'm also planning on brining a pair of running shoes and black pumps to go out in. I hope 2 pairs of shoes in my bag aren't too much!
