You are an EU citizen or resident or whatever- do you know Ireland is also in the EU? Thus no Visa but I think Eire may not be part of the Schengen Accords countries so you have to go thru border formalities.

What is your country of origin, chico? And what kind of passport do you hold? What is this Italian document you have? How long have you been in Europe (if you even are)? No one can tell you whether you need a visa to fly to Dublin without knowing at minimum those basic facts.

If you need a visa to get into Italy, you need a DIFFERENT visa to get into the Irish Republic. You almost certainly need a visa, though see below

If you have an Italian passport or identity card, you need no further documentation to get into the Irish Republic.

If you are not Italian, but have a travel document from another country allowing you into Italy and don't need a visa to get into Italy, you PROBABLY don't need a visa to get into the Irish Republic.

If you need a visa to do whatever it is you're doing in Italy (like working or studying), but wouldn't need a visa to be a tourist in Italy you PROBABLY don't need a visa to get into the Irish Republic for most brief visits

If you do need an Irish visa, having a UK visa doesn't get you into the Irish Republic. For whether in your case an Irish visa is needed: http://www.inis.gov.ie/en/INIS/Pages/WP07000016

Call the Irish Embassy and get a definitive answer.

"Call the Irish Embassy and get a definitive answer."

...but only if you call the extortionately-priced premium number they've established to hand out such information.

Diplomats are not there to provide tourist information, and no country's taxpayers (including PalenQ's fellow citizens) will fund such absurd misuse of expensive resources.

That's what websites are there for.

Then call the Irish Consulate or whoever issues visas - visas flanner I believe are still issued by embassies so someone as the visa section should be able to easily answer this bloke's question - I would not put much faith in what some poster posts but I would want it in stone.>
