Hey Zack, welcome back! How was Liechtenstein? Where did you go in Germany and England? Your first time there? Impressions?

Hello, yes, it was my first time to Europe. Let's see, you ask about Germany, well I went to Munich and I loved it, it we stayed near the Hofbraugh (sp?) house, touristy, but fun, we also did the salt mine tours there in southern germany. we we all stayed in fussen, a town in middle in about the bottom center of germany. It is like 5 miles to the mad king ludwig castles, which were all truly amazing. We stayed in Rothenburg, which was fun because of all the historical value, and there was a guy who played the night watchman in the streets, and he gave a wonderfully interesting free tour. (except that everyone gives tips) he was a great tour guide, and I have his name if you go to rothenburg. We stayed also in Baden Baden, in the black forest, whichwas also beautiful, and I loved the black forest. Baden Baden is well known for the mineral pools it has, but we didn't get to go in them for lack of time.

In england, we stayed in canterbury, and I had met a person from there about a year ago on the i-net and we have been talking, and we finally met her, and she droves us around there because you know how hard it would be to drive for us over there. And so we in exchange paid for everything, and we went on a bus tour on one of the double decker busses, and saw everything, I tell you, that is truly the way to go, and then we also were able to go on a rivercruise that was included in the $15 bus ticket. It was a good deal. We loved the whole trip, and the most interesting thing was how to work the toilets, anyone who has been to Europe can tel you stories about the toilets I am sure. Well, if you have anymore questions, feel free to ask, talk to you later, ~Zack

Hi Zack:
Read your response on Germany...my husband and I will be in Switzerland/Germany/Liechtenstein in October...considering staying one night in Fussen and seeing King Ludwig's castles...which hotel did you stay in? Would you stay there again? What about Switzerland and Liechtenstein? This will be my first trip to Europe. My husband lived in Geneva for three years 30 years ago and is anxious to stroll down "memory lane".
Glad you had a terrific vacation. Hope ours is as wonderful as yours.

Hi, well in Fussen we stayed at the Luitpoldpark Hotel for 2 nights, and it was really amazing, one of our best in Europe. it was a 4 or 5 star, and we found it by accident. It had a restaurant, great free breakfast, the rooms were big with huge bathrooms (for european standards)and there was a work out room, spa, and there were tanning beds. We would definitely stay there again if we ever went back to Fussen. The castles were awesome and wonderful to see, they were fairy tale castles, and I

Sorry, hit wrong buttons. Well, I heard that wwalt disney copied one for the disney castles. but yes, we paid $130 for one room, which had 2 beds, and $80 for one room with one bed, and they also had private bath, and it was very quiet. We only spent about an hour in Liechtenstein. We drove right through it and got pictures of the castle, but i thought it was worth it. I only stayed in the north eastern part of switzerland, near lake bodensee, and I was there for 2 days, and it rained the whol time, so I really didn't get a good taste of it, because we got up and decided to leave and ended up in Fussen. If I can be of any more service, please e-mail me, talk to you later, ~Zack
