We want to drive the Julian Alps from Kobarid to Bled via the Vrsic Pass and Triglav National Park in early May. Rick Steves recommends driving in the opposite direction - beginning in Bled, past Jesenice, the Vrsic Pass, Trenta, Soca, Bovec, Kobarid and then back to Bled
Will it make any difference as far as the views and scenery if we go in the opposite direction? This way we can avoid some driving ( about 2 hours) and doubling back.
Thanks for any opinions.

I'm planning on doing the same drive next month. Did you do it? Does direction make any difference?
Hi there Soph!
Doesn't really matter which way you go, you will see the same thing either way and there is plenty of stunning scenery at every turn so you won't miss out, especially if you stop at certain points to take photos.
Like Nanni says, it really depends on where you're heading.
Have a great trip!
