Jim Cantwell Lake Como Restaurants

I have been asked about Lake Como restaurants. My favorites are Valverde, Locanda dell' Isola Comacina, Al Veluu, Da Rosa and Da Benito.

It would really help if you said exactly where these establishments are located IMO.

Sorry. You're right. Valverde is in Cernobbio, Locanda dell' Isola Comacina is on an island near Sala Comacina, Al Veluu is above Tremezzo, Da Rosa is wonderful but hard to find. It is in Capiago Intiminiano and Da Benito is on the outskirts of the city of Como.

"<i>I have been asked about Lake Como restaurants. </i>"

Where/when - since you just registered and this is your very first post it seems no one here asked you anything . . .

or are you advertising these places??

I'm not advertising. They're just good restaurants in the Lake Como area. If you know of others, please let me know.

No one asked him on Frommers either. But, he posted the same post there also.

Sounds like advertising to me, too.

Look, why don't you two just spend your entire lives monitoring who just registered, who is advertising, and so forth? This BS about somebody who just came here cannot possibly be doing anything that might be useful to some of us is getting to be a bit much.

I notice there aren't any complaints about people "advertising" an airline SALE or talking about their favorite hotels, etc.

You want to be an editor then apply for the job.

Dukey . . . there is a <B>HUGE</B> difference between a Fodotite recommending a hotel they've enjoyed or alerting to a deal they've discovered - and some unknown person who all of a sudden jumps on Fodors (and apparently Frommers as well) claiming to have been besieged w/ questions and answering those same (never asked) questions.

Just smells a bit is all I'm saying. But hey - you like his suggestions - go for them.

(And nope - I don't spend hours looking for 'cheats' but when one pops it is usually pretty obvious.)

Oooohhhhh, seems that someone missed their meds today.

Please do resume them.

Advertising is not allowed on this site. And, I don't need to be an editor to say that.... that's why we have the yellow triangle.
