Jewish tour guide for Budapest and Prague

We are going to Budapest and Prague in July and would like to take a tour of the Jewish history of both cities. Does anyone have a recommendation?

www.jewishguide.net www.jewishtourbudapest.com There are many. Just google the city and Jewish tours. For information on Prague, see www.inyourpocket.com Click on the city and then 'instant'. Have a great trip. Richard

BTW they may also have tours in Budapest but I am not sure of that. www.legacytours.net

We knew the fellow who is one of the co-founders of the company. He used to head the US Council of Jewish Federations and was instrumental in putting the Precious Legacy exhibit together and bringing it to the Smithsonian some years ago.

We just returned from Prague yesterday, and we had a fantastic guide there who I highly recommend. Her name is Eva Trkalova, and her website is www.trkalova.guide-prague.cz.

Eva is fluent in English having lived in the US for a few years, and her passion and exuberance for her city is infectious. She spent 8 hours with us the first day seeing all the historic sights and areas, and we spent half of that time seeing "Jewish Prague". She is not Jewish but is so knowledgeable about the Jewish history in Prague, she taught us several things about our own Jewish heritage. The next day we went with her to Terezin which was an emotional and sobering experience.

Eva is a bright, delightful young woman, and one of the best guides we have had in our many years of traveling.
