Jacket Advice/Rome April

We usually travel in March, so black leather coats cover just about every country. This year, spring break isn't until the beginning of April and we are going to Amalfi and Rome. It looks like temps will be in the 60s, so what kind of jackets or coats will be serviceable as well as fashionable? Thanks!

I still say stick to your leather! It seems the most fashionable in Italy and works in the evening as well. They are lighter weight versions (unlined) that should work as there will still be slight winds along the coast in early April and it does cool down a lot at night.

Leather is not politically correct. I suggest a plain cloth coat.

I just bought a wonderful thigh-length raincoat (London Fog type) with a zip out liner for my March/April trip to Rome. When I was there a couple of years ago in the spring, it was the type of jacket I longed for!

A microfiber coat is perfect for Italy at the time of the year-whether it gets really warm or if you need to layer underneath for the cold.
