Itinerary review & thoughts/suggestions

I have an itinerary (3rd draft) for our (husband & I) 1st trip to Ireland in September and I seem to have a couple of extra days that I'm not sure what to do with.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

Sat, Sept 10th - Arrive in Dublin, 10:40 am

Sun, Sept 11th - stay in Dublin

Mon, Sept 12th - Drive to Kilkenny, stopping by Powerscourt House & Waterfall, and some other sites along the way

Tues, Sept 13th - Drive to Cork, stopping by Rock of Cashel, Hore Abbey, Cahir, Kels Priory, Famine Museum & Swiss Cottage (perhaps trying to fit in too much)??

Wed, Sept 14th - stay in Cork, see the sites and perhaps visit Kinsale?

Thurs, Sept 15th - Drive to Kenmare

Fri, Sept 16th - Stay another night in Kenmare, drive the Beara Penninsula

Sat, Sept 17th - Drive to Ennis and stay the night, see the Cliffs of Moher

Sun, Sept 18th - Drive to Galway
Mon, Sept 19th - ?
Tues, Sept 20th - ?

Wed, Sept 21st - Drive to Dublin

Thurs, Sept 22nd - leave for home 12:10 departure

Thanks so much for your time!
Judy

As said before the 19th/20th coincide with Clifden Arts week and Clifden is a great base to explore the Connemara region.

Before you get to Ennis, a trip around the Dingle Pennisula is a wonderful and beautiful ride. We also enjoyed Killarney and took a pony trap ride through the Gap of Dunloe. Also, Ballyvaughan is a cute little village-- quintessential Ireland! We also liked the Aran Islands and Connemara Loop up to Clifden and Westport. A crazy side trip/adventure we took was to Slieve League-- the cliffs are the largest in Ireland. Hope you have a great trip!

Croaghaun on Achill Island (668 mtr, 2260 ft) are Ireland/Europe's highest sea cliffs just that there is no road going to the top you have to use leg power.

Achill is worth a visit for anyone who has time. http://achilltourism.com/
