Arrive from Brazil at AMS and get a direct flight to Dublin, wait around 2 hours.

From Ireland to Scotland, after Iceland and back Amsterdam to stay 2 full days /3 nights.

Hey Bilbo... Tnks.

So, i will arrive in Dublin and stay 2 days, after would like to visit Cork, Galway and maybe Belfast before depart to Glasgow or Edimburg.

Even in this situation will be best to put more time in Scotland?

I like Ireland a lot but for me it boils down to
1) Dublin or Belfast as semi-vibrant cities, anywhere else on the island may be called a city but compared to Rio are tiny
2) A nice warm bar or restaurant out in the sticks. You need to land a little luck but on a good night these can be a wonderful experience.
3) walking, often in the wet

I just think Scotland has a lot more to offer and all of the above. But if you have specfic reasons, family/religious/political reasons to go to Ireland, enjoy.

You will find the roads in Ireland even slower than those in Scotland and the whole pace of life just slower. Frankly I think you are forcing a lot of movement into a short holiday and I might take one country out to enjoy it all more.

Iceland offers only one city and has a good tourist based infrastructure to get about. Do you need advice on this? But outside of the city it has little public transport, so you either do day-tours or rent a car. I recommend doing "The Golden Circle" as a day tour with a small bus (not a large one)

Dublin has a train and bus system but outside of the city you are on cars (on the left) and narrow country lanes a lot of the time.

The two main cities of Scotland are well linked by public transport, there are also day or multi day trips you can do or again it is back to the car (on the left). http://www.traveline.info/

Amsterdam is so swamped with public transport and so densly surrounded by yet more small cities what you will find it easy to get around.

Thoughts?

Wow!! ;-)

I really need some help for Iceland, going to stay 5 full days, counting arrive and depart days will be 7 days.

Maybe rent a car and travel Ring Route?

Between Ireland and Scotland i have 9 full days to split in two phrases.. Planning 1 or 2 days for Dublin and 2 days travel with day tours.
For Scotland maybe 1 day for Edimburg, 2 days Highlands and 1 day Glasgow..

What do you think Mr. Bilbo?

I've seen your Iceland question and Annhig knows her stuff. Ring Road is 7 to 10 days.

Your split is feasible, but don't move your pack too often (for instance Glasgow is a day trip from Edinburgh (note n and h)

Tnks Bilbo.

So, i have not yet buy my ticket from Ireland (possible Dublin) to Edinburgh or Glasgow.

What is the better place to stay in Scotland? Reminding that i will stay 3/4 days before my flight to Iceland, will depart from Glasgow.

Tnks!!! ;-)

You can't drive the Ring Road in Iceland in 5 dyas. Even in 7 days it is a lot of driving and much of it is the same.

Base yourself in the South east of Iceland. Spend a day around Rekjavik and a day doing the Golden Circle. Then headd west towards Skaftafell and Jökulsárlón before returning to Rekjavik.

Hey guys.

As my flight will depart Glasgow to Iceland, i have some options, Could help me? will have 4 full days around.

Flight Dublin to Glasgow, do a day tour in Glasgow and Edimburg and get day tours to Highlands, will have 2 days to day tours

Flight Dublin to Edimburg, do a day tour in Edimburg, day tours to Highlands in this 2 days and last day travel early to Glasgow and stay 2 nights.

or skip Glasgow and in 5th day that my flight will leave Glasgow 14h get a transport from Edimburg to GLA early as possible. Is it possible?

Yes it is possible, and probably best use of time

"or skip Glasgow and in 5th day that my flight will leave Glasgow 14h get a transport from Edimburg to GLA early as possible. Is it possible?"

There are not many reasons for public transport problems in Scotland. Terrorist, weather and lastly strike. So if in the winter I might rethink.
