Itinerary input needed

Jump to last reply

I am hoping to get some feedback on my itinerary. We are going to the Netherlands, Belgium and Munich during the first two weeks in October. We enjoy art, architecture, history, the countryside, etc. I wanted to have a World War I/II theme to this trip. I am also considering renting a houseboat in Amsterdam. Any recommendations on this? Thank you!!

Day 1: arrive Brussels from US
Day 2: train to Ghent for the day (leave bags at station), train to Bruges, overnight Bruges
Day 3: tour Bruges, overnight Bruges
Day 4: Quasimodo Tour to Flanders Fields, overnight Bruges
Day 5: train to Delft for the day (leave bags at station), train to Haarlem, overnight Haarlem
Day 6: tour Haarlem (if it is nice, train to Zandvoort?), train to Amsterdam, overnight Amsterdam
Day 7: tour Amsterdam, overnight Amsterdam
Day 8: daytrip/train to Hoorn and Enkhuizen, overnight Amsterdam
Day 9: tour Amsterdam, overnight Amsterdam
Day 10: tour Amsterdam, sleeper train to Munich
Day 11: tour Munich, overnight Munich
Day 12: train to Dachau, overnight Munich
Day 13: Grey Line tour to Neuschwanstein, Linderhof and Oberammergau, overnight Munich
Day 14: tour Munich, overnight Munich
Day 15: fly home
