Itinerary Help!!!- Dubrovnik, Prague, Berlin, Copenhagen
Me and my husband booked our trip to Europe for next July we are flying into Dubrovnik and flying home from Copenhagen. We have 14 days not including the flying to and from home. So here are our two options not sure if we should have extra days in Dubrovnik and less days in Copenhagen or even out the days. Same goes for Prague and Berlin. Im open to all your advise. It is a bit tricky depending on day we fly out of Dubrovnik we are looking for only direct flights out.
Thanks
Option 1
Dubrovnik for 4 Days and 5 nights
Fly to Berlin stay for 4 nights
Train to Prague stay for 4 night
Fly to Copehagen stay for 2 nights
Option 2
Dubrovnik for 3Days and 4nights
Fly to Prague stay for 4 nights
Train to Berlin stay for 4 nights
Night train to Copenhagen stay for 3 nights
Thanks

Dubrovnik itself is a small walled town. Although I have not been there since 1967, I imagine that one day for the town is still sufficient. Maybe another day for an excursion to visit something else.
Add to Berlin and/or Copenhagen whatever you subtract from Dubrovnik.

While it takes mere hours to see Dubrovnik, they may wish to do day trips and just relax a bit. I know if I was going to be flying and taking trains in addition to the flight to get there, I'd want enough time to recover.
Do note that in July Dubrovnik will be pretty crowded.
Having no idea what is you want to see and do in each city, it is difficult to advise on how many days.

Thanks everyone really appreciate all this feedback...we probably want to do the beach, wander old town, visit cafes/bars, do the walls and maybe the skyline exhibit. We don't plan on doing any day trips as of now.

I would select Option 1.Dubrovnik and environs is a great place to hang out. Rent an apartment in the old town. Night train from Berlin would not be fun.

Better yet, take a ferry to the Elafiti islands or a day boat to Lokrum and stake out a beach there.

Otherwise Michael. There are several public beaches-Banje Beach outside the Ploce Gate, Sveti Jakov at the north end. A couple past the Pile Gate. Our family liked swimming below the two Buza bars outside the city walls. You also can access the hotel beaches at Lapid Bay. Also at Copacabana Beach (not that one). Many people take a 20 boat ride to the Elafiti Islands for sand and pebble beaches.

I agree with Michael - cut time from Dubrovnik and add it to either Berlin or Copenhagen. You could definitely find things to do if you stay longer in Dubrovnik, but IMO, you would so by giving yourself insufficient time in Berlin and Copenhagen.

Do you think its best to have more time in Copenhagen or Berlin? I have a feeling Copenhagen is going to be similar to the vibe of Amsterdam and I absolutely loved it there which means I would want to have an extra day spent there. But Berlin looks like a lot of things to see in small window of time.

It depends on what you want to see and experience, but in general, I think Copenhagen merits at least 2 days or better yet, 3, so you have time for a day trip to Roskilde. It's been a while since I was there, but I thought the vibe not unlike that of Amsterdam. And in general, I think Berlin merits at least 5 days. There is a LOT to see, and it spread out, so you need time to get from place to place.

I was born in Dubrovnik and I live there all my life. This October my wife and me visited Berlin and Copenhagen and I must say that Copenhagen is simply amazing. It's very expensive so my suggestion is that you do your shopping in Berlin and leave Copenhagen for strolling and nightlife. I think that 4 days in Dubrovnik are too much. If I were you I would spend 3 or 4 days in Copenhagen instead of Dubrovnik. There are no sandy beaches in Dubrovnik so if you like pebbles beaches or rocky beaches Dubrovnik is ok for swimming. Compared to Copenhagen and Berlin, nightlife in Dubrovnik is zero. You may take a look at some Dubrovnik and Copenhagen and Berlin photos on http://travelphotosandmore.blogspot.com/

Thanks so much everyone feedback unfortunately our flights got changed by Norwegian and we had to swap out Copenhagen for Stockholm as our initial layover destination. So we will be doing Stokholm 3 nights Dubrovnik 3 nights berlin 5 nights (as some of you suggested) and prague 5 nights. (not sure if we will ad a night stay in cesky krumlov by taking night from prague)
