Italy vacation for single woman

Jump to last reply

I have been to Italy many times, usually with a friend,so we have to see the usual sights. On my last trip,my favorite part was staying in a small inn in Tuscany.I have decided that for my next trip,I want to go alone so I can do what i want.I have never been south of Rome.My ideal vacation would be to rent a small apartment or studio for a few weeks where I could walk to shops, etc,go to the beach, meet people, buy local food and cook, drink wine, etc.Anyone have any suggestions for a town?I was starting to look in the Calabria area, but I know nothing about it.Thanks
