Italy shows support for the US tomorrow in Rome

There will be a very big demostration tomorrow in the center of Rome to show support for the US.
All the political parties will be there together. Many different groups, many nationalities, all types will be there.
They are suppose to be all with the stars and stripes. Hmmm, I will have to see this, where are they getting all the flags?
Anyway, just thought this was nice and will be curious to see how it goes.

A friend of mine in Rome told me about this. La Repubblica says 100 thousand people are expected, coming by train from all around Italy to Piazza del Popolo. When I lived in Rome during the Vietnam years, all the manifestations were anti-U.S., and I wish I could be there today to see this! I hope no violence mars this event. Thanks, Micia, for posting this notice.

SAD. I was in Europe in September and there was an outpouring of US support in every country that I was in. (Poland, Romania, Hungary, Ausstria and Germany.)
Well, it went off just fine with no problems at all.
Giuliani was there along with many fire fighters. Sophia Lauren, Andrea Bocceli and a chorus, sorry I don't know who they were and who else was there.
The name of the event was, "per non dimenticare" "for not forgetting".
There were tons of american flags and all types of american things such as hats, shirts, etc.
Very nice and all so orderly. People came from all over Italy, with everyone proclaiming to be "NewYorkese".
Yes, of course there was also the "no-global" people there along with others anti-war and they did a march very calmly. They gave no problems to anyone.
A very nice day.
