Italy rentals/< week?
Looking for a rental in Tuscany or Amalfi coast for 4 days in April. Most places, esp villas and stand-alone rentals, seem to rent for a week at a time. Many Amalfi ones don't list prices for April weeks - any hints on this?

You should email them and ask about availability for your dates. If it's their slow season, they may be more than willing to rent for 3 or 4 days rather than hold out for a full week that isn't likely to happen. You may pay a little more per diem, or maybe not. Never hurts to ask.

I'm renting a place in Montichiello, a tiny village in Southern Tuscany near Montepluciano and Pienza, called LeMaribelle that is available for rentals less than one week. It has both a one bedroom and two bedroom unit. I found it on SlowTravel.com, where it has a couple of very nice reviews. Check out www.lemaribelle.it

Keep in mind that many rentals are affordable enough even if you depart on ... say... Thursday, rather than stay the last two nights.
Er... well... that used to be true, when a euro was 85 cents!
Best wishes,
Rex
