Italy questions

We will be in Italy the 1st 2 weeks of May. What will the average temperatures be?
Also, we will be meeting some people at the train station that we do not know. Is there a central spot (big clock, newstand etc.) where we can arrange to meet?
Thanks for your help!

Average temperatures will vary between different parts of Italy, but do not tell you what the weather will actually be like.
There is more than one station in Italy, so it's not easy to suggest a meeting point. In similar cases, I make sure we know which trains we'll be on, so whoever arrives first can see whether the other person's train has arrived and wait at that platform. If you want a safe central meeting point in a station you do not know, I'd suggest the main ticket office. Stations may have lots of clocks, newsstands, etc, but rarely more than one ticket office (and even if there is more than one ticket office, one is always bigger than the others).

This must be a troll. Surely you must realize that temps will vary by 20 degrees from Milan to Sicily.

Warm but can change to chilly if it's raining. You could meet at the information booth or there's a book store in the outside lobby. Or at the car rental counter. There are a number of places. There are two lobbys. The first one is after you get off the train. There are a lot of shops and I even thing a McDonald's or Burger King. Then there's another one where you come in from the street. That's where the book store is. Or find out what track they're coming in on and meet at the track of whoever is supposed to get in last.

We were in Rome the first half of May 2002. The weather then was mostly sunny and mid-high 70s.

There is a McDonalds in the train station. That's not a bad place to meet.

www.weather.com

Has a "Travel Planner" where you can type in your city and month and get the following information for each day: Sunrise, Sunset, Avg. High, Avg. Low, Mean Temp., Record High, Record Low.
