Italy museum tickets

Jump to last reply

Hello all we are going to Italy (family of four with 2 teenagers) from 14th December to 1st January.
All our hotel and train/car reservations are done. Now I'm working on the day to day itinerary and would like to get some feed back. Do I need to book my museum tickets in advance? If yes which ones are absolutely recommended to do in advance and which website do I use to get it.
Our itinerary
Dec 19th to 21st - Venice
Dec 22nd to 27th - Florence and Tuscany
Dec 28th to 1st Jan - Rome

I heard museums are closed on Mondays and everything's closed on dec25th.
I'm a bit worried about Rome since we are spending the year end there. Is it very crowded post Christmas in Rome?
I'll highly appreciate any of your ideas / suggestions:)
