Italy in November
Hi everybody!
We're going to Italy on our honeymoon in mid november for 10 days. We're planning to stay in Rome for 4 nights, in Florence for 3 nights, and in Milan or Bellagio for 3 nights.
Is it a good idea to go to Bellagio in November? Or is it too cold?
So you any other ideas?
Thank you for your advice.

Good morning, Dania
Sounds good to me other than the hotels in Bellagio used to close up by the 15th of October, would suggest Venice as an alternate to Milano. It can be possible cool that time of year in northern Italy, don't forget the sweater and jacket just in case.
check www.hotelguide.ch/ for Bellagio
Hotel information.
Richard of Hickory Hills, IL.....
If you haven't been to Venice, then yes diffinately recommend it. Especially as it is your honeymoon...It is very romantic. However I wouldn't discount Milano aswell...there is the wonderful Duomo, The last supper, and the magnificent Galleria and the Opera. Milan is a very slick! type of town great fashion and easy to walk.

Difficult one! the train from Milan to Venice is around 3-4 hours from memory.

It really depends I guess where you fly in. ie, if your flying into Milan then Venice is a realistic option, however if your flying into Rome then Milan my be a beeter option to save time.

Shane

Good morning Richard and Shane and thank you for the information and the advice.
We are flying into Rome, will go to Florence, and I think Venice, by Train, then we will return from Milan.
Concerning the hotels, should we book in advance, or is it easy to find a decent room in November?
Dania

Good afternoon, Dania
Would suggest that your book your hotels
before your leave, then you will know where the hotels are, price and etc. We
have been to Rome, Florence and Venice in years past, last being 1996 and 1997
in early November and have noticed it
has more tourists than in previous years.
If you want a couple of hotel suggestions, can e-mail them, I find that in shorter notice that a phone call to the hotel on Saturday afternoon, (their time) and dial direct to place the reservation, usually require a credit card to confirm same..
Richard of Hickory Il.
