Italy Cooking School Vacation - Suggestions?

I'm interested in planning a week-long cooking school vacation in Italy in mid-February (not the ideal time, but the only time I can go). I did a search on the internet and there are so many different companies and options it made my head spin. Are there any recommendations? Regions I'd be interested in would be Tuscany, Umbria, Lazia, Amalfi Coast. Good possibility I'll be traveling solo so looking for small groups (husband doesn't get as much time off). Thank you!

Check The International Kitchen. If you send an email, you will promptly get suggestions about what classes are best for you, based on your wants and needs. I took a class with them in the Loire valley in 2011, and it was exceptional. I am looking at Italy too for 2013

We spent a week here last year and it was fabulous! Www.latavolamarche.com

You can read about it in our trip report http://www.fodors.com/community/euro...t-do-italy.cfm

Fontana del Papa in Tolfa, near Rome, offers cooking and shopping with local cooks, rated among the top ten by Natiional Geographic. Divina Cucina in Florence run by American Judy Witts. Most places will accomodate you your schedule ...after all February is low season.

There is a thread of someone who booked Tour d'Eau Palazzo through a Groupon special. If you search 'Groupon' in the title it should come up.

We just came back from a weeklong cooking vacation in Tuscany. My wife and I did the tour through italycookingschools.com. It was fantastic. It was the best trip we have ever been on. Margaret and her assistant Heather will explore your interests and will set up whatever you want. They have experience through all of Italy. We just loved Tuscany. The chefs we met and the lessons were exceptional. I suggest you contact them and see what they have to offer for you. There is no way you can be disappointed. Dave

Thank you everyone - I'm checking out all the suggestions. The International Kitchen doesn't have anything available for Italy but does have a Loire Valley option. February is such low season that there aren't many options for a solo traveler. Loire Valley seems a bit too cold & stormy in Feb - does anyone disagree? Abruzzo and Sicily may be other options. I'll keep everyone posted as I continue to research the possibilities.
