Have searched this forum for suggestions on inexpensive airfares to Florence (or Rome) this Fall (from NYC, WAS or BOS) and have only come up with older messages. Can you help?

Have you looked into Eurofly, which flies JFK to Bologna? (An hour away from Florence?)

I just used them a few weeks ago and paid $544 (Travelzoo special, all inclusive).

The major airlines have a Europe sale going on until today (Sept. 22nd). Also try Air France as they too have a super sale to Europe ending today.

Thanks for the info. I bought a ticket to Florence this evening for under $500 including taxes etc. w/one change of plane. Very good I think.

Congratulations. Which city are you departing from?

It is a WAS departure via Lufthansa. Suits us fine. Planes appear to be very available in November but seats are harder to come by in October.

You got a good deal. NYC is higher. I paid $695, open jaw, flying into Florence with a plane change in Milan, and direct out of Rome back to NYC, traveling in November. Congratulations!
