Italian Honeymoon Oct. 2005

Hello!!
After all the great feedback we got from the message we posted last time we have refined our search and below find the proposed itinerary details(cities and hotels for our honeymoon next Oct. '05):
Rome-3 nights, Hotel: Santa Maria
Florence- 3 nights, Hotel: Piazza della Signoria
Venice- 2 nights, Hotel: Locando Orseolo

Get into Italy through Rome and depart back to Miami from Venice.

Can you provide me some more feedback about my hotel options(if possible, maybe make other suggestions based on the hotels I picked(B&B, 150-250E range, non smoking, romantic, clean, with personality and good service). Basically we picked these hotels because we've been in touch with them and also because we've read great reviews on this web site and some others like tripadvisor.com and so on. Has anyone stayed on any of them??

We are planning to move from one city to another using the train(www.trenitalia.com).

Again, it will be great if some of you can review this itinerary and provide some of that valuable feedback.

THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!

Hi minnie,

Looks nice. You seem to have done your research well.

I assume that you know you can purchase your train tickets on line at www.trenitalia.com/en if you wish.

How are you getting to the Venice airport?

Hi Ira,
I was thinking coordinate with the hotel the transportation to the Venice airport. Do you have any suggestions?

Also, I think I posted the wrong hotel for Rome. We decided instead of the Santa Maria Hotel, we think we are going to stay at the Residenza Cellini, which we consider is more centrally located. Have you heard any feedback of this hotel? They provided very specific information on their email to us and seem to be real nice. Do you happen to have any other suggestions??

Bob, thanks a lot for the list of web sites. I've added all of them to my trip's spreadsheet.

Hi minnie,

What time does your flight leave?

A water taxi (usually quickest way is about 85E).
