Italian honeymoon in February! Winter vs. Beach!! Need help.

Jump to last reply

I am getting married in Feb 2016, My Fiancee n me had always wanted to go for an Italian honeymoon... Rome, Florence, Tuscany and Venice.. That was the plan all along.. Now as i sat down to search through and plan the itinerary, i came to realize that Feb is chilly in Italy, so the clothing changes to winter wear, and the beaches aint that much fun with your mufflers on! So got caught up in a fix, with having to now sit and work out an alternate plan.
So now I have 2 questions...

1) How is the Italian weather in Feb? Is it really that harsh??
How about going southward from Rome.... Naples, Sicily, Palmero..?? Do the conditions change?? are the beaches enjoyable during that season??

2) If not Italy, then which part of Europe, if at all, will be warm enough for a beach based, honeymoon in February?? With ambient weather conditions, and good pricing for the time of our trip.

It would be great help to have your valuable inputs.
Thank you.
