Italian Honeymoon

Jump to last reply

My fiance and I are looking at places to go on our honeymoon for the end of next september. This past summer I visited Cinque Terre and fell in love. I want to go somewhere that both of us have never been but I loved the small cliff town atmosphere and not to mention the breathtaking views so I was thinking that the Amalfi Coast would be a nice and romantic place for a honeymoon.

I would like to find a hotel that has a pool & is close to a beach. Any suggestions? What city is the best place to stay? I've read some good things about Positano. We want to be able to soak up some sun and relax, but have options of things to do as well.

We will be visiting my family in Cyprus after our visit in Italy so I would like to stay in one hotel in Italy for about 7 days & take day trips from there. My fiance likes for things to be simplistic so I want to make sure I think things through well.

We are thinking of a budget around 200-250 euros a night.

I had also thought about maybe splitting our time up between Venice and the Amalfi Coast BUT I think that may be too much traveling with going to Cyprus too.

All suggestions and advice are welcomed!! Thank you all!! I love fodors :)
