Italian Dolomites

I am currently studying abroad in Salamanca, Spain and I am planning some trips to other countries. The first trip I want to plan is something outdoorsy and photogenic. I am currently set on the Italian Dolomites, I thought it had the perfect mixture of culture, price, and outdoors activities. My two goals for the trips are to capture amazing photos of the mountains and to go on a hike and enjoy the scenery. The trip will most likely be from October 28th-November 1st. I would leave Friday the 28th and return Tuesday the 1st. I am looking for help on how to get to the dolomites from the Milan Airport, I would also like some recommendations for what city to stay in and how (hotel, airbnb, camping, etc.). My budget for a hotel stay per day/night is roughly $100. I have heard the Briol hotel is very nice. I also was hoping to see Tre Cime di Lavaredo, any recommendations on how to get there and go about it? Yes i know this is vague but I am open to anything. Any ideas are appreciated.
