Istanbul Vacation Tips!

Jump to last reply

Hello - My boyfriend and I are traveling to Istanbul for 8 days in mid-May. Neither of us have been before. We are planning to rent an apartment, probably in the Beyoglu area, and we have a moderate budget for the trip. We would like to find a nice balance between sightseeing and relaxation for our time there. We are thinking about spending a few nights on Buyukada instead of the whole time in Istanbul. I've heard mixed opinions - one friend said she thought it would be the perfect romantic getaway from the city, another said that a day trip to Buyukada is enough. Any advice?? Tips for relaxing, romantic activities also welcome!

Thanks!
Kristin
