ISO hotel for Rome layover

Jump to last reply

Hi! We have an overnight layover in Rome at the end of our trip. We *might* be motivated to go into the city for a drink and a late night walk around - but since it is the end of our trip and we have both been to Rome before, we more likely than not will be exhausted and not up for the trip into the city - really would be looking for a place to sleep for a few hours between flights. We arrive in Rome around 10pm and are departing around 9am. I was hoping to find a hotel that had a shuttle service or was on an express bus line - I understand a cab would cost us 50 Euro each way! Just looking on expedia at a few places - Hilton Garden, Comfort Inn, etc. - that say they offer shuttle service, but a few of the reviews blast those hotels for poor service with respect to the shuttles (i.e. didn't run at night or early in morning, had a hidden cost. . .). Looking for ideas on the best way to approach our 12 hours in Rome! Thanks.
