I did a tour with them. If you have experience with horses and would like to experience riding an Icelandic Horse - forget it!!!

If you have experience with horses and REALLY enjoy trail rides no matter the nag you may get - go for it.

If I remember correctly, this tour operates rain or shine. So if you feel horizontal rain is a fair exchange for viewing the unique Iceland countryside - you'll probably enjoy the tour no matter what.

I guess it advertises better than it is. I think a soak in the Blue Lagoon might be better for a quick trip. We arrive late afternoon from CDG for one night then leave next day for BOS at 4:45. I am thinking of Blue Lagoon on arrival and spending the day I leave walking around Reykjavik. Anyone else had this amount of time to plan in Reykjavik?

There tour is really dependent on whether you have experience with horses. I showed horses, so I was really looking forward to the opportunity of trying the 5th gait of this breed. And for some reason I was stuck on stupid and completely forgot how much I dislike trail rides. I even noted my stupidity on my Christmas cards that year. The other people on that tour seemed to enjoy it.

If you ride and expect that you will need your horsemanship skills on this tour, it's going to be a disappointment. If you don't have experience with horses or have taken previous horse riding excursions and enjoyed them, you'll probably enjoy this one also. It is a wonderful experience to get out in the countryside. It's a very different landscape!! It was worth it alone to see the landscape. I was disappointed because I didn't actually have to work at riding.

That's about the same amount of time we had. I have heard the nightlife is really something in Reykjavik. I'm not into the club scene & I was traveling with my grandmother, so I haven't experienced it first hand.

Maybe plan to explore downtown (there's a very interesting cemetary)and have a nice evening on the town. Wash Europe off you at the lagoon and have lunch there before heading to the airport. I think the airport is between Reykjavik and the lagoon. Going directly from the lagoon to the airport could save you some time.

I will be stopping over in Iceland after I trip to Russia to unwind and relax before getting back to the states. I am taking Iceland Air out of Minneapolis not only for the price but because of the opportunity partake in the Take a Break deal!!

I'll probably decide what to do right before I go. I am definitely doing the Blue Lagoon just for the experience. I'll leave the horses for another day.
