Hello.
I am going to be in Tirol from October 23 to October 29.
I'm landing in Munich, renting a car and heading south.
Usually I'm in Austria for ski vacations, so I know that the towns in Tirol have great night life whenever I'm there.
The question is - is it the same in October and months with no ski tourism? or is the nightlife so awesome there just because of the apre-skiers?
I don't want to stay in hotels in major/big cities like Salzburg or Innsbruck, I prefer staying in the nice awesome towns Tirol offer like Mayrhofen, Zell am See, Saalbach, Seefeld, Ishgl, Bad Gastein, Kitzbuhel etc.
So to sum up - is the night life in Tirol the same in the non-ski months? and if so, can you please recommend towns that I will have a great nightlife?

No - it's not the same as in the ski months. Esp Oct and Nov are off-season and quite a few places close to do renovations/upgrades before the next big skiing season.
Larger towns will still have nightlife, but not to the same level - just because there are many fewer people.
I agree, and many owners also take their own holidays.
Well so I came down to 2 towns I will stay in for 2 nights:
Zell Am See and Kitbuzhel.
Which one would you choose? I understand they both have good nightlife even in October, but which is better to your opinion?

I suggest you get on the Austria Forum of TripAdvisor and read up on the comments about Zell am See. I believe the comments are under "Before you go to Zell am See". Then, decide where you think you will be more comfortable.

I just read it, but bottom line is this was written in July where it's most crowded in Austria.
The question remains, where would it be better for nightlife in October?
