I have reservations at the Hotel St. Beuve (rue St. beuve, Montparnasse,75006)for our first trip to Paris in May. I am beginning to worry that it is too far away from the Seine and other sites. Can anyone help me out. The hotel looks beautiful and has excellent reviews on trip advisor but will I miss out on walking and soaking in atmosphere?
Is the St. Beuve hotel well located?

I think it's a wonderful location. I would walk from there to the Seine, but if you're not into walking, you're close to several Métro stops.
There's a very nice restaurant close by your hotel, the Timbre. The chef is British but the food is more or less French. Tight seating and zero decor. Don't pass on the cheese plate just because the cheese is British. It's heavenly.
Great location, not to worry. You're situated between 2 good metro lines, #4 will take to to St Germain, Notre Dame, St Michel area, Seine, etc. #12 is good to get to D'Orsay Museum. You can also switch trains at Montparnesse to get to the Eiffel Tower.
The metro is a great way to get around the city and it's easy to navigate. Take a train to an area you're interested in and soak it up. Have a great trip! May is a lovely month in Paris....
