Is the "Eurolines Pass" a good idea?

I need help to decide if I should continue booking Eurolines Pass (traveling March 2013). I only want to use it for my trip between Dusseldorf, Amsterdam, Brussels & Paris. I will use plane (Ryanair) on my travel from Paris to Rome.

Well I understand it is a cheap way to travel..but how much time have you got? The bus trips are long..a whole day for some of them.

Train tickets bought point to point, well in advance,,can also be very reasonable. I am taking the idTGV from Paris to Nice, first class for 40 euros this summer, booked the day the tickets became available for my dates. I just looked yesterday and travel on same date and time is not being charged at 160 Euros.. oh my,, pays to book ahead!

Time versus money,, if you have at least 4 weeks then go for the cheapest but slowest option,, if you are trying to see all those places in 2-3 weeks then think carefully.

They cheated us in Amsterdam. Although we have a online ticket(and it was written that show it to the driver or check in) and we show it to the driver and they said we must check in 15 minutes earlier. However, we were on time and bus did not wait us. Woman who is responsible from check in was so rude and shouted us. They said we were late and their clock was 5 minutes ahead from world clock. Also, driver said bus was already full that means they sold the tickets more than one person. These people are cheating DONT BUY ANY TICKET FROM EUROLINES. If you want to go to Amsterdam from Dusseldorf check train prices they can be also cheap and MORE SAFE and FAST!!!!!

We used Eurolines going from Estonia to Latvia. Then Latvia ti Lithuania. THEY WERE FINE--NO PROBLEM P.S. Keep in mind that Elif_Gney is a newby and [August 2012] probably on any number of other sites complaining. Legit--who knows.

For us, we bought the tickets a day early and had no problems.

This is a company that has been in business for a number of years and they don't need to cheat people.

Problems happen in all walks of life and perhaps this poster just happened to be unfortunate and was unhappy.
