Is the end of October a good time to visit Provence?

Jump to last reply

I've been before but can't remember what time of year. Trying to use FF at last minute and can't seem to get anything but Oct. 17 - Oct. 31st. Planning to stay in St. Remy and do day trips and then turn in car and spend a few days in Paris.
I'm worried that Oct. is the rainy season. Will temps be in the 60's on average?
Other alternative is to wait patiently and go in spring. Which time of year would be better? May or Oct. I love fall but don't experience that season in Southern California. Love temps in 60's when traveling.
Thank you for any help.
