Is it possible to rent a Paris apt. for 5 nights only?
Just booked tickets for our family of four for next June/July beginning in Paris. Am wondering if it's possible to rent an apartment at that time of year for less than a week, probably 5 nights. I've only just started to look at the Paris apartment rental web sites, but have the feeling that they're all minimum one-week rentals. Anyone had any experience with this? Thanks!

BTW, mohawk's rec. of the bousuet is a good one: their one bedroom apt (with big sofabed in lr) is in the range of 175-225 DOLLARS per night, and includes the services of the hotel, or so it says. Three night min.

Thanks to you both. The hotel apartments are certainly in our price range. I love the idea of a full service hotel, but figured most would be too expensive for more than a few days. I need to educate myself on the different arrondis. as well, as it's been a long time since my last visit. My inclination is to try to stay in the Latin Quarter, St. Germain du Pres or Ille d' St. Louis (pardon my poor French spelling) areas for charm and easy walking distances with our kids.

A few years back we rented with www.rentparis.com for 4 nights with no problems (even in non-low season May). On their website, they list prices for apartments for less than 6 nights. We were happy with the agency and apartment (#14 - 34 rue Charlot).

Last summer, our family of four needed an apt in Paris for 5 nights as well. I just looked for apts that met our needs as far as arr. and amenties and then just contacted them and asked if they would be available for less than the minimum nights listed. I think most will, so I would just ask- what harm does asking do! We didn't have any problems getting what we wanted and had a number willing to do just the 5 nights.

Our family of four rented an apartment for 5 nights from www.VacationInParis.com. They have many apartments (in various arrondissments) from which you can choose, and they rent by the night (5 nights is OK). We found them very easy and professional to deal with---payment is by credit card to an American company, so no need to deal with wire transfers to an owner.

I love this forum. I just ticketed my tix to Paris this morning, then asked the question about apartments knowing I'd need to work on that detail soon to have any selection. Within a day, I have all these great options to start researching...thanks very much!
