Is it possible to do Paris, Normandy, Provence, and Dordogne in 2 weeks?

I have been researching a 2-week trip to France for July 2013. I've chosen that time because I thought it would be wonderful to see fields of lavender in bloom. Now the more I read about Dordogne, the more tempted I am to try and squeeze in one more place. Is that crazy? Also, is the lavender worth being in France in July when it's hot and crowded or should I rethink the timing and go in Sept? Will there be sunflowers in Sept? Would that be a decent trade-off. We don't mind moving around and do like variety. We LOVED Tuscany, but did start to feel that all the little towns started to look the same so we probably don't need a full week in Provence.
Any advice for us?
