My wedding is in May, looking at Iceland for the honeymoon. Any negatives/positives?
I figure the viking tours would be good for my fiance. I don't really want to rough it too much though, is Iceland any good for just relaxing? Also, pricewise I'd like to stay under $3000. Is it possible?
Is Iceland a good place for a honeymoon?

Maybe a bit more info... to help us guide you.

How may days, your ages, what is your ver. of "roughing -it"? Using a pit latrine, or not having Sat big screen TV?
Its a fine small unique country, lots scenic landscapes, geysers, waterfalls, thermal spas to do and see, foods to taste, drinks to drink.
Take a tour or 2, or go whale watching if it is in season.
BTW, on a Honeymoon won't you be staying ummm... indoors most of the time?
Prices are High, like NYC. Even the capitol city down town area is walkable.
Enjoy
good choice, very cold outside
Well, of course cold is a relative term; think 40's-50'sF for May. Iceland is gorgeous and has lovely cozy restaurants and beautiful thermal springs and wonderful nature...and some good shopping, too.

although, of course, with this being a honeymoon, we'll understand if your trip report doesn't include everything on the list.
Hi whip,
Have you looked at the packages available from www.icelandair.com?
